Adrienne Davenport
Dr. Adrienne Davenport is Managing Director of BASF Enzymes, LLC. Under Adrienne’s leadership, BASF Enzymes is developing products and offering research services to BASF and external partners and customers with an end-to-end biotechnology platform from gene discovery and optimization to large scale production of industrial enzymes, biobased products and biocatalysts. She is also serves on the Department of Energy’s BOTTLE Technical Advisory Board, a consortium whose mission is to develop robust processes to upcycle waste plastics and develop new, bio-based plastics that are recyclable. Adrienne holds a PhD from the University of Washington, conducted post-doctoral studies at The Université de Liege, Belgium and The Pennsylvania State University, and served as a Program Manager at The National Science Foundation’s Office of International Science and Engineering before moving to industry. Adrienne is very passionate about creating sustainable solutions for current global challenges using the power of biotechnology and supporting the vibrant SynBio startup ecosystem to help accelerate and mature innovative technologies.
