John Sundman

John Sundman is a novelist and essayist who has been writing about science, technology and society — in particular the convergence of biological and digital technologies — for thirty years. In the words of George Church, ‘Sundman is a master of machines — computing, biological, and political.’ His forthcoming novel Mountain of Devils centers on the 1975 Asilomar Conference on Recombinant DNA and the birth of synthetic biology.
