Marissa Pettit Jones

Marissa Pettit Jones is a Director in Corporate Business Development at Genentech and Roche. In her role, she sources and executes business development across therapeutic areas and research technologies, leading cross-functional scientific diligence and deal teams to establish collaborations, licensing deals, and M&A transactions. Marissa is a Co-Founder and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Nucleate, a nonprofit with the mission to empower the next generation of biotech leaders. Marissa co-led the creation of Nucleate’s flagship program “The Activator,” which enables aspiring biotech founders to achieve the critical first steps of forming a company; the program has led to the creation of 100+ companies. Marissa began her career working as a consultant at Bain & Company, advising Fortune 500 Companies on key strategic decisions across healthcare, life sciences, and other industries. Marissa received her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Yale University and her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
