Simon Herriott
Simon Herriott led the Health & Biosciences (H&B) division, which consolidated DuPont and later IFF’s biotechnology capabilities from its inception in 2019, until his recent departure in 2025. For two years from 2014, Simon led DuPont’s substantial research and development investment in biomaterials and its commercial Sorona® and PDO businesses, and from 2016 led its enzyme businesses which were then integrated into H&B in 2019. He joined IFF’s Exec team upon its merger with DuPont’s Nutrition & Bioscience businesses in 2021.
Simon was additionally President of IFF Scent division from 2023-2024.

In March 2025, Simon realized a long-held ambition by securing EU130m investment to scale-up and commercialize IFF’s Designed Enzymatic Biomaterials™ platform.
Curious and challenging, Simon has deep experience and track record of leading success in biotechnology innovation and managing high-tech differentiated businesses in highly regulated markets. He is an adaptable leader and dual national (US, UK) who has lived in Asia, US and Europe and led businesses around the world.
Education includes Bachelor’s Science degree (Durham, UK) and International Masters in Management from McGill (Canada), IIM (India), JAIST (Japan), INSEAD (France) and Lancaster (UK)
